Anyway, here are some pictures of the past week here in sunny and hot Pennsylvania!
The days were picture perfect...
One after the other...
And we were sure to take notice.
We took short walks with little dogs...
And posed for quick phone pics before Mass.
We ate yummy summer meals..
As well as simple, but lovely desserts.
This was a regular yellow cake with homemade buttercream frosting.
Made by Peyton. : )
Safe and sound and cool inside, these two relaxed in the sun. : )
One night, we packed up and went to a friends to swim...
But not before we took a few fun pictures. : )
Swimming was awesome!
And the ice cream truck even made a stop!
Ahhh. To be young and in love...
And carefree with your whole life ahead of you.
And young and beautiful.
This one. My Peyton.
Always smiling.
Always helping.
Always.
And this little lady.
One last dip with her feet before we headed home.
Home. Where even though the days are sunny and hot, we like our evenings warm and cozy.
So this happened.
Apparently ice can build up in your freezer.
Blocking an important fan.
Fortunately, I know a wonderful man who is on my contact list on my phone.
On Speed dial.
He explained that I needed to get rid of the ice.
Thus, we unplugged our refrigerator.
Overnight.
Fortunately, we had not just returned from a major shopping trip.
And again...fortunately, we have a spare refrigerator.
And lastly...I needed no further excuse to clean this one out from top to bottom.
Well, that's it for me.
Have a wonderful, cozy summer weekend with your people, my friends.
Enjoy!
It is really depressing me to see the school supplies in the stores. We haven't even been on vacation yet. Big sigh....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Hi Billie Jo - Happy Friday to you! Looks like you are having an awesome summer making lots of great memories. I am wondering how close you are to Philadelphia? We had some rain here this week, but mostly hot, humid days. You and your family have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteA clean fridge? I have all the heart eyed emojis for that. We have a mini fridge so if our big one was toast we could at least have milk and cheese which are the kids big things anyway. But oh to get my fridge top to bottom clean. Perfect summer week!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos -- looks like you all have having a perfect summer! Hobby Lobs here has Christmas items!! Oy! Oh, that clean fridge - am jealous! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWell...I thought the same, schools here just got out for the summer...however, us college folks start back at the end of August, so I already went and bought what I needed...yes, sad indeed, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your photos...smiles (and I just cleaned out the fridge and the big freezer---same reason)
Schools have only just finished here in the UK today locally and yet all the school supplies are in all our shops already. You certainly look to be having a fun Summer creating some amazing memories. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI love your week and your life and everything!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy my visits to your place, Billie Jo. I just returned from the county 4H fair. It wasn't as hot as it usually is in July, but it was hot enough for me. I've never been so close to hogs! I was sitting by their pen watching all the kids show their animals.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be home in the ac!
Have a great weekend!

Billie Jo, Sorry to hear about your refrigerator. I agree - it is way too soon for school supplies to be on the shelves! Before we know it, they will have Christmas stuff out. (yikes!)
ReplyDeleteHello Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteOh how I love summer and really despise those early back-to-school sales and ads. Let us just enjoy these fleeting carefree days with our children.
As always, I enjoy your photos of the family, food, and fun. Cozy evenings are always right for any time of the year :)
Happy Sunday!
♥Hope
Oh, I love your summer! Your sweet Flynn is getting SO tall! And I also love that extra face in all those pictures who looks right at home among those other faces. Life looks wonderful in Pennsylvania. Love you, friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hot here too, but we are doing our best to stay cool during the day and cozy at night, as you so perfectly put it! We are right in the middle of it now and it feels so good. Loving your pictures and so glad you all are having fun! The day at the pool looks like a lot of fun! PS I need a reason to clean my fridge. Yours looks brand new! : -)
