Evening baseball games in the backyard
With pink winter boots on, of course...
Muffins for breakfast. Made by my Peyton...
Yep. That be chocolate muffins drizzled with melted peanut butter.
Sweet little ladies in sundresses and sandals...
Sweet corn for supper...
Watching storm clouds while swinging on the porch...
and a fresh cut and color for summer. : )
What summer things make you happy, my friends?
Id love to hear about them. : )
Great ways to spend the summer.
ReplyDeleteNothing like pink snow boots to make an afternoon backyard ball game more fun!!
Being on the butter and salt with that sweet corn. Looks delicious!
Love your haircut!!
Have a beautiful weekend.
Hugs,
Jackie

DeleteI'm using my iPhone, and spellcheck thinks it knows how to spell better than me!
:)
Where do you find these adorable dresses for Flynn? She always looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose muffins look so yummy...I think everyone needs a baker like Peyton in their home :)
I wish I could say I love summer, but it's my least favorite because it gets so hot here. We are already in the mid 90's and usually get into the 100's by July or August. But this summer will be special because of our new sweet baby...soon to be born!!
I love your new hair-do! You look beautiful!
Enjoy the summer weekend. God bless.
ReplyDeleteLove, love what you shared. No rain here, it sure looked liked it wanted too though, passed us up. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI love your new hair cut! You look so fun and summery! I love all your pictures. I especially like the corn -- corn on the cob is one my favorite things about summer. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the highlights and the cut. You are so pretty. I know where the kids get it from. Nothing like backyard baseball. I played it growing up and the kids played it every day. There was a permanent diamond in the back yard and it remained after they were grown. A few years ago, I realized that the grass had grown where the bases and diamond was and I was sad. Build those memories and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful my friend, inside and out. I love all those things you mentioned. I love a good summer storm! We like to play family kickball in our side yard. Sleeping in is always a good idea, too.
ReplyDeleteNo homework is the thing that makes me the happiest! (That and hot, sunny weather!)
ReplyDeleteYour fresh cut and color look awesome mama.. what are you 29?
ReplyDeleteHearing what makes you happy brings happiness to me! What about summer makes me happy? The freshness of all the vegetables & fruits, the warmth of the sun, a cold treat on a hot day...and lots more!
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, your summer thoughts and pictures are delightful! Summer - watermelon!!! 4th of July! Summer thunderstorms! Fireflies! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! I love sweet corn too. And all the fruits that you can get in the summer months...grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon...yum! And now I can use my three season porch too. Especially when it rains. I love that!

I agree, ahhh...summer.
ReplyDeleteRight now that feels like the greatest thing in my life. I look forward to taking a deep breath and settling in this week. I really need the break, enjoying summer meals, fun outdoors, some busyness and plenty of family time.
Dear Billie Joe,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I always loved the summer storms I grew up seeing in the Midwest. We don't get that sort of storm usually here in California. What a wonderful memory. Watching the storm form your front porch sound delightful.
Oh how I love summer corn. Now I am really hungry for some!
Everything about summer is wonderful, except for the heat at times, but all rolled up into its package, summer is a great time!
Enjoy every moment, they fly by too fast!
Thanks for all your visits and comment lately. I really do appreciate seeing you at my blog.
Love, Hope
I love your summer things!! I love the same things, but my most favorite thing is sitting on my porch anytime...praying in the cool mornings, or reading books to my littles in the afternoon...or just sitting watching my flowers bloom!
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy, fun post, I might have to copy you!! (in a thankful version)
Billie Jo...just love this post...and summer! We are so looking forward to it here on the coast of Maine...it has been a long hard winter! Your new cut looks just lovely, my dear!
ReplyDeleteSweet blessings,
Laura
