Good Monday morning, my friends. How was your weekend? Steve, Flynn, and I spent our weekend at the condo, venturing out for mass on a cold Sunday evening. Thank you for the kind words and messages on my last post. I appreciate every single one. Saturday, my mom sent a beautiful sunrise...
And my family sent me some beautiful flowers to brighten my day.
I don't have many more pictures from the weekend, but I did take this one. Remember when your children were little, and you couldn't go to the bathroom without them right outside the door? Well, don't expect much to change when they grow up!
Yesterday was cold, dark, and rainy. Not that I minded! But today is clear and calm. Perhaps a reminder to me to begin this new week the same way?
We will tidy up here and head across the bridge soon. Today, Flynn and I will do homeschooling. I have a chicken recipe to try tonight, and then some of us will watch the college football championship. Others may be snuggled by the fire with a good book. Just sayin'.
Have a wonderful day, my friends! Thank you for visiting.
Billie Jo

Thank you, Billie Jo, for the view from the condo. I did not forget about the championship tonight-I am rooting for Indiana (I was born there and have deep roots there). However, I won't be able to stay up and watch it...wishing you a beautiful day my friend.
ReplyDeleteI am a Hoosier too! We are near IU and I can't wait to see a championship come home!
DeleteIm sorry I missed yesterday's post but read it this morning. I don't think we ever get over missing our moms. I used to think people who said they thought of someone everyday were exaggerating. After Mom and Dad were gone I found out just how true it is.
ReplyDeleteHappy for the beautiful sunrise and a clear and calm day.
Enjoy reading by the fire tonight!
I'm glad you felt loved on that day. The flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteClear and calm sounds like a beautiful state of mind...have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the sun and the dogs.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the sunrise is gorgeous. I'm glad you family showed you love that day. I know how much you miss her.
ReplyDeleteYour family is wonderful. You are loved my friend. I laughed at the dogs. It is so true. Our Zoey follows me to the bathroom every time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Hello, I love the photos of the sunrise. Sending a prayer and hug as you remember your mom. I do love how you shared that she sent the sunrise. I just loved that.
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers,
Carla
May all good thoughts come your way today my dear.
