First thing Sunday morning, I lit our cookie baking candle...
Then we donned our aprons...
And got busy baking!
Even little Zip helped by keeping an eye on things. : )
By the end of the afternoon, we had baked nine different kinds of delicious cookies!
Peanut Blossoms
Chocolate Chip
M&M's
Snickerdoodle
Chocolate Crinkle
Italian Christmas Cookies
Oatmeal Scotchies
Molasses
and
Seven Layer Bars
I am so proud of my Peyton Rose.
She took charge and did a wonderful job.
Want a closer look?
Thought so. : )
Merry Christmas Baking, my friends!!!!
How fun! What a big variety of cookies....something for everyone.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Peyton.
Yum! We only did three kinds and I was over it! But I imagine as my kids get older and more helpful adding more cookies wouldn't be as intimidating. Peyton has such a talent!!
ReplyDeleteOh how yummy....thank you for sharing...have a very Merry Christmas friend.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun and wonderful to see you all together. I would love to visit and taste them all. Have a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

ReplyDeleteHaven't baked one cookie... but Christmas cookies after Christmas are okay too, right?
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, these look amazing! And the love in your kitchen, well you can almost feel it.
I love baking cookies! I baked with my mom last week and we ended up with a large variety of cookies and candies to share. Yours look really amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a wonderful day with your baking elves! :)
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas!
Hugs, Amy
How wonderful that your daughter planned this amazing day for you all to enjoy! I love seeing all of the yummy different cookies. Wonderful memories are being made in your home, Billie Jo! My grandson and I made our sugar cookies this afternoon. It's so much fun to share these special times together! Have a Merry Christmas! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! Peyton will be quite the homemaker some day! She sounds like she has great leadership!
ReplyDeleteLook at all that deliciousness!! I can almost taste them all and yay for all your girls home to bake with you :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I WANT those cookies. Okay, question for someone who really should know this by now (me!). Is it okay to make cookies a week in advance? Are they still good? Do you store them in a way that keeps them fresher? I waited until today to do baking but I'm starting to think I could've done it sooner!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious! I have not even made one cookie tbis, Christmas season (insert sad face). I know they taste as good as they look, and those receiving them will be blessed.
Hugs,
Barb
