There is no denying this time of year is busy. It can be easy to let things like family dinner time go. I like to keep our family dinner time consistent through the busy season to offer some degree of comfort among the chaos. One way to do that is by planning easy meals. Now is not the time to try a brand new, Pinterest inspired meal with crazy ingredients. Rather, it is easier and just as special to stick with tried and true favorites that can be easily made and enjoyed. One of our favorites this time of year is good old grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. Serve this meal on lovely Christmas dishes with a festive piece of chocolate on the side and make some fun holiday memories for your family. And make one less trip through that McDonald's drive thru. Not that we don't do that from time to time! : )

oooohh'ssssss and ahhhhh's! I love the dishes and the silverware. Thanks for the daily smiles. Blessings
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I have never thought to do a special dinner until Christmas day! I love your plates...well the whole kit and caboodle. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a good tradition. Love your dishes and the menu is special around here too.
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas dishes. How festive! Grilled cheese and soup is one of our favorites too - in fact that sounds so good I may put that on the menu tonight! By the way, for some reason, blogger would not let me email you. Josh would love to get a Christmas card from you - even if he gets it in January (which is probably the case since mail to Mexico is very slow). I would also love to add you to our Christmas card list, so please email me your address (if you want to) cdjdhj1979 at gmail dot com and I will put you on my card list and also email you back Joshua's address in Mexico. You are so sweet and kind to think of my homesick son far away. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. You are a real friend! I hope we get to meet in person some day!
ReplyDeleteso so so so true! Consistent dinners make everyone happy. And I love your idea of keeping it easy... the tried and true! Love the pics too my friend! (and the dishes)
