I love books. For as long as I can remember, books have been my best friends. My mom tells me I have always been able to lose myself in my books. I read different types, mostly biographies, mysteries, and historical books. Reading is also a love I have passed on to my children. It is not uncommon to find us all sitting on the sofa with our heads buried in our books. I am happy as can be when I have a stack of books waiting to be read. I know it is simple, but books on my nightstand make me happy!
Right now I have a Princess Diana biography, a new JFK book, and a mystery, just for fun!
I love reading! A stack of unread books is a wonderful thing! I just finished Inkheart. My son says it is his favorite book ever and really wanted me to read it too! I am searching for something new now!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great evening!
See we really are soul sisters! I/we love to read too. Mary Catherine is in heaven now that she is a truly independent reader...she has full access to my rubber maid tubs of independent reading books from my teaching days. (I've saved everything!!!) She has caught the reading bug, too! Right now, I am so into books about faith...both fiction and non-fiction. I should do a post too! Maybe in the future we could do an on-line book club?!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Val
I think I over-read as a kid, and now I hardly read books at all. I read magazines and blogs, but when I go to bed at night and start to read, I fall right asleep. When do you find the time to do it and stay awake?
ReplyDeleteI love to read, when I have the chance. David does NOT. The kids asked him what his last book was that he read. He replied, "Dick and Jane. And that was my first book, too." I just shake my head at his sense of humor. I like your phone, BTW!
ReplyDeleteOh I love love love to read too! So much better than anything that's on TV! Thanks for sharing your selections! I've read a few Diana ones in my time too! Have a great afternoon Billie Jo! ~tara
ReplyDeleteI love reading as well. I find I read more in the summer that I do when the kids are in school. I have read a few books on Diana and have loved all of them. I just finished the Happiness Project.
ReplyDeleteDid you get my email yesterday?
Happy Wednesday!
I wish I was more of a reader! My sister-in-law also loves the Kennedys and the royal family!
