Would You Believe Wednesday

 Would you believe

~ I can still twirl my baton and remember some majorette routines from high school?

~ I still have my tonsils and my wisdom teeth?

~ I have not parallel parked since my driver's test in 1986?

~ I have no interest in parallel parking ever again?

~ I cannot eat an apple unless it is sliced or cut into pieces?

~ I once got into a Twitter argument with Duff Goldman?

~ My favorite color is brown?

~ I would love to live in a cottage in Scotland someday?

~ I majored in English Literature in college and absolutely loved my semester studying Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales?

~ I would rather go to the dentist than go shopping?

Well, It's all true.

And now you know!

Happy Wednesday, my friends! Some fun just because...

Thanks for visiting!

Billie Jo

  1. Very interesting! I still have my tonsils and wisdom teeth too.
I try to avoid parallel parking but had to do it on Friday.
I want to know about the Twitter argument. That really deserves another blog post!
And I want to come visit you when you live in the cottage in Scotland. :)

  4. Ha! We have a similar therapist! (And reactions to events.) I am with tonsils without wisdom teeth but I have never parallel parked or 90-degree backed in again post drivers test. Happy Wednesday!

  5. What a fun post to read, Billie Jo! I loved the therapist memes. I have been minus my tonsils (and adenoids) since age 5 and my wisdom teeth since my mid 20s, I haven't parallel parked since my original driving test (and avoid it like the plague), I'm with you on eating an apple (or pear or peach), and I majored in Home Economics and don't cook. Happy Wednesday!

  9. Wow! Duff Goldman! I need to know more!!! Count me in for the Scottish cottage! Also maybe Wales. I loved English lit, too. Parallel parking...no no no no...I hate it.

  11. I still have my tonsils too and never parallel parked (it wasn't required for our driving test); heck I struggle just to pull up to a curb and park nevermind if there are other cars there!

  17. I still have my tonsils and wisdom teeth, that's why we're so wise! Parallel parking: I used to have to street park my 15 passenger van, especially at the dentist in the city, also the ortho office where I was a frequent visitor for years. There was not a back up camera, either. I don't know how I did it, I also had to park it in the parking garage downtown for Abigail's cardiologist appointments. Things that didn't bother me a bit when I was younger, I avoid like the plague now! A cottage in Scotland sounds lovely!

  18. Hi Billie Jo, I love your post today! Wow you can still twirl the baton that is so cool. Good for you on the parallel parking thing. I hate it too, but sadly I have had to do a hundred thousand times. Most of which include either my father and later my husband standing outside the car shouting "Turn the wheel! Turn the wheel!" haha. :). I hope you have a lovely day ahead!

  19. Well, now you're going to have to do a separate post explaining the Duff Goldman argument. Inquiring minds want to know. I visited his bakery in Baltimore once. The cupcake was yummy. Oh, I don't think I've parallel parked since my test either. I will drive around the city until I find a spot that has enough room for me to just slide into rather than having to do all that maneuvering between two cars. No thanks. I actually failed my driving test because I couldn't parallel park properly so it gives me anxiety.

  20. HAHAHAHA- You are MY kind of gal! Love all the therapy references. I, like you, don't mind going to the dentist but don't put me in a mall to shop. I used to think Green was my favorite color but then my kids looked at my dogs---one black---one white---one black and white and said that my dogs were a mix of my favorite color and what I wore all the time....black. lol. I still call "green" though. I was always a pretty good parallel parker but haven't had to do it in a long time.
Have a wonderful, blessed weekend. xo Diana
