Happy first day of fall, my friends! I hope you are ready for all things cozy! I also hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was the perfect mix of productivity and relaxation, with some good food thrown in too. Saturday has become my cleaning day, and I like to get that done early in the morning. Gone are the days of the whole house weekly clean; now, a quick powder room, bathroom, and bedroom cleaning, plus a change of bedsheets, followed by a wet swiffer and vacuum, does the trick!
The rest of the day was spent on those little things that keep getting pushed from one to-do list to the next. Currently, my list of things that may get done includes tasks like bathing the dogs, buying a rug, dropping off the dry cleaning, and cleaning my makeup brushes. That last one has been on the list for so long, I could have done it twice by now. I hope Madison isn't reading this. Or maybe she is, and will offer to clean them for me. : )
Yesterday was quiet and cozy. In the evening, we went to mass and then met a very good friend of mine for dinner. Tracey and Ken were here in Maryland last week, and I was so happy to see them and spend time talking and eating some good Italian food. And talking some more.
Peyton and Christopher are on a trip west to see some National Parks, and sent these amazing pictures back. These were taken at Grand Teton National Park. I am so happy for those two. They are having the best time doing all the things they love.

ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! So glad that Peyton and Christopher are enjoying their National Park adventure. We went to Grand Teton a couple of years ago and it is amazing. I hope they are also going to Yellowstone and some of the beautiful "Big Five" National Parks here in my home state of Utah. It's always good to see how things are going for you and your family. Have a wonderful, cozy fall. See you again soon!

ReplyDeleteWell, I was enjoying the list until I got to the "3 months till Christmas"! Then the panic set in :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall! I know you're in all your glory right now. Enjoy the coziness of the season while making amazing family memories.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your comment on my post, yes, the incident happened in the same county I live in. In fact, I drive students to a school in that same town. I left just minutes before it happened but I did see about 30 police cars rushing down the highway and knew something awful had occurred. As a community everyone is coming together and finding peace through it.
Ooh... Grand Tetons looks so pretty! The more I see more national parks the more it sparks a greater desire to get out there and explore even more of them. I have been tackling lots of jobs off my to do list lately. I take advantage whenever I can because I definitely go through spurts where I try to ignore my list.
ReplyDeleteOh, Peyton visited the beautiful state of Wyoming. There is so much wildlife and grand sights of nature there. And she took the loveliest pictures. Have a wonderful Autumn season, Billie Jo. Watching Charlie Brown and Snoopy shows.....it doesn't get much better than that. ; )
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Beautiful pictures of their trip.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall! Our children and grandchildren will leave for Scotland next week.
Happy Fall to you, too, Billie Jo. I need to start paying attention. Fall snuck up on me, and if I'm not careful it will be gone before I realize it. Wonderful pictures!
