Christmas In July 2016

Yep. We did it again. We took a super hot July day, added a few festive touches, and suddenly it was Christmas! Well...sort of. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had that day.

We had fun, and now everything is packed away.
For a little while, anyway. : )

  1. What a fun idea! Is that a longstanding tradition in your family? I think it's an awesome thing to do, sort of like celebrating half birthdays.

  3. Let me tell you, Billie Jo, we walked into Walmart the other day and there stood a Christmas tree...hubby about had a cow...I said, 'It's Christmas in July!" He was thoroughly confused, lol. I highly doubt the guys would like this idea, I loveeeeeeeee it though, smiles.

Have a beautiful day friend and thank you for the smiles.

  7. Billie Jo, I have to tell you that every time I saw a reference to Christmas in July or July 25th this year, I immediately thought of you! You are the most fabulous person I know who celebrates this extra fun holiday which prompted me to visit and see how it went. :) Lovely as always, just like you. Hugs and prayers as I continue to think of you today!

  17. Dear Billie Jo,

What a fun little tradition - Christmas in July! I did not realize this was a recurring even; I scrolled down to your archives to look over the past Julys. Yep, there they are, Christmas every July. I love your tradition and I certainly wood jump to do it too, if only my children were little still.

    I enjoyed your holiday post,
    ♥Hope

  18. I bet the kids loved it! The closest I allow myself to get as far as Christmas in July goes is cracking open the Christmas DVD's for my little one to watch when it is so bloody hot outside :) Oh! And I try to start my shopping in July (try to space the budget out).

  20. Billie Jo,
Oh my how I felt like it was really December and really time to watch Rudolph (or play Rudolph Monopoly- that looks so fun!) and feel cozy inside... instead of sweltering hot in summer, haha. Thank you for sharing this wonder and fun that made it feel like winter for a moment ;) It looks like y'all had a most wonderful time and special moments together. And those cookies look more delicious than I can describe. Mmmm. What a wonderful mom you are to bring such joy to your kids and family!

I'm even more ready for fall and winter after seeing all your lovely photos :)
    Blessings and hugs,
    Jazzmin
