So glad you got to spend some time with your sisters. I am off for a "sisters weekend" of my own this coming weekend. We have downsized our Christmases in recent years, and now have only one small tree with special, significant decorations. I still put my nativities out, but I have stopped buying new ones to add to my collection. When the kids were all home, we had at least two trees and many, many gifts spilling out from underneath. This year, I am doing almost all of my shopping online, with gift cards filling in the rest. Times do change as do the seasons of our lives. Hope you have a wonderful December. :-) Deb J. in Utahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14424364735834182330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-830473372238505362.post-3352075033527295242021-12-01T16:05:26.852-08:002021-12-01T16:05:26.852-08:00Yep, I know what you mean about scaling back. I do less and less each year, remembering the real reason and not wanting to wear myself out with the things that don't really matter. Enjoy the time with your sister!Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13760897671143549963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-830473372238505362.post-35852306155737196842021-12-01T15:04:14.688-08:002021-12-01T15:04:14.688-08:00Your blog looks so pretty, Billie Jo! We have a little each year, as our kids now live out-of-state. One day let's meet for real and watch Match Game and the Brady Bunch!) I am constantly reevaluating Christmas and which things are truly important. Those are my priorities as I enjoy the time I have with my family and my God.
Hugs to you!
LauraMrs. Laura Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17334381585683324912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-830473372238505362.post-865994607945651172021-12-01T07:56:30.247-08:002021-12-01T07:56:30.247-08:00I understand your words completely, Billie Jo. It's a big change to see this happen, and it's not easy, so I am here with a friendly hug to tell you things will be Ok. And Yes, we are older, and don't want all the fuss that goes into the Christmas season. The spirit of Christmas is what keeps the light within us shining. Being around some family and spending time watching our favorite shows with hot cocoa sounds just right to me. And it might snow here for Christmas, so that will be delightful. I'm glad you got a chance to visit with your sister. It sounds like a lovely time. And your Christmas tree is wonderful with just the white lights.

Enjoy this beautiful Christmas season, Billie Jo.

~Sheri

ps.....I love your blog design. I've always loved blue at Christmastime. : )Red Rose Alleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02685747099912989862noreply@blogger.com
