Friday Photos

Happy Friday, my friends. I hope anyone who is affected by the smoke from the wildfires stays safe and sound indoors, if possible. Here in Maryland, we are under a Code Red Air Quality Condition, but I know some others are under Purple. I did not walk this morning because when I took Mocha outside, I could tell it was not something I wanted to be out in. I did snap one quick photo, and it looks a bit eerie, don't you think?

Speaking of Mocha...Yesterday was her birthday! My little Mocha turned eleven! She enjoyed some puppy spa time...well, actually, she had an appointment with the groomer, but I am sure she enjoyed it, and she got a few extra pieces of her favorite thing ever: American Cheese. We shared some pictures of her in our family group text.

The moment I met her!

Home Sweet Home!

This picture from Mocha's first birthday illustrates just how long she has been in our family! Look at little Flynn!

Yes, she barks. A lot. But she also loves her people and is the best snuggler ever. And I am happy she is mine.

Peyton and Chris celebrated the seventh anniversary of their first date this week! Seven years seems like yesterday! They went to dinner at the same place, and Peyton wore the same blouse she wore on that very first date!

A few photos from my walks earlier this week...

And some really neat ones Steve took on his walk.

And if you are thinking...Why don't they walk together? The answer is this: I walk early in the morning. He sleeps later. He walks a jillion miles every day. I am happy to make it to one! I walk in quiet. He walks with a headset and makes phone calls. Totally opposite, we are! But we work perfectly together!

Have a lovely weekend, my friends. Stay inside if you need to. I plan to venture out to Mass, and that is about it. I am going to snuggle on the couch and catch up with you all! And to those who comment or message me who don't have blogs, please know I appreciate your friendship and am thankful you are here!

  1. As I sit inside my comfy, cozy house with the air quality in purple here in PA (some parts have even moved to maroon) I am thinking of those up north who are devastatingly affected. It's horrible. I hope you stay cozy today. Happy birthday, Mocha!

  3. We had the Sarahan dust in the last week or so, but not nearly as bad as that smoke from the Canadian fires. Goodness. Glad you are staying in and not breathing the smoke pollution any more than you have to. Take care!! Happy birthday to Mocha!! Little cutie!

  5. I love how excited you are for fall. I had to move several carts of Christmas things out of the way of an item I wanted at Hobby Lobby this week and I have to tell you I was not impressed or excited about that.I am not even ready for back to school or Fall and they're setting out Christmas? That's just insane. Praying the fires stop and everyone's air gets better. We are just directly south enough that we are mostly out of the path. The bad air is a little further North and to the East. Also I can't believe Mocha is 11! But I also can't believe my own kid is 11 so... it tracks.

  6. Hi Friend,
We had the wild fire smoke, we were up by Lake Superior and it was bad.
Our little dog Ernie did not like it.
Mocha is so cute. Happy Birthday Mocha.

  7. Happy Birthday to Mocha, your sweet little yapper. We have one barker, too...but love her in spite of it. lol.

We are under a Hazardous warning here and lots of things have been cancelled. It has been really hot and humid on top of all the smoke. They said we were the epicenter of the worst smoke watch in the US. Thanks, Canada and Minnesota!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana

  8. I am waiting for fall, too!! We are also code red for the smoke! I always love seeing cute little Mocha! The bird that is so camouflaged looks like some kind of Heron.

  9. My heart goes out to so many across the US who are struggling from the smoke... We have family in Colorado and they have had so much smoke. Little Mocha is so cute and I'm sending a bundle of air bones to help celebrate this birthday. Our pets are family aren't they... Y'all enjoy a fabulous weekend..

  10. OOf - every time we turn around there's a weird weather thing happening! I have mostly been inside a lot this summer because we get UV index warnings every day. I do miss a little tan on myself.

  11. Ken doesn't walk with me. either. I like my time alone on my morning walk. Air not too bad here by me so I still walk. Happy Birthday to Mocha, so cute.

  12. I really enjoyed this collection of Friday photos! Each image has its own mood, and together they tell a lovely story of everyday moments that often go unnoticed. It's amazing how simple scenes can become so memorable through a creative eye. Thanks for sharing these beautiful snapshots—they made my day a little brighter. By the way, while relaxing with great photography, I sometimes enjoy taking a break with Coolzino too. Looking forward to seeing your next photo collection!

  15. Happy birthday to Mocha! Can you believe the air quality way down here in Texas hasn't been great either? And you and Steve sound like David and I :) We are total opposites, yet we fit God's plan perfectly.
