Would you believe my coffeemaker needed cleaning? And that the little flashing light wouldn't stop until I did?? I started it last night and forgot to finish rinsing it. So, in the interest of not having coffee that tastes faintly of vinegar, I opted for the next best thing!
Good Monday Morning, my friends! Today, we are heading to Disney! Fortunately, our flight isn't until late, so I have time to change the bedsheets, finish the laundry, and pack my things. We are blessed to have some very dear friends staying here to watch the pups, so I don't need to worry about the house or the pups. Both are in good hands!
Yesterday, Madison and Nicolas hosted a beautiful Mother's Day luncheon for me since we will be away next Sunday. Peyton and Chris joined us on the phone, too! Every day, I am reminded of how very blessed I am to be living the dream I have had since I was little: to be Mom.
We ate in Madison's beautiful dining room...
She had dessert set up on a Disney-themed kitchen table...
We enjoyed Jersey Mike's subs... my favorite, salad, fresh fruit, and homemade cheese-broccoli soup.
And did I mention dessert??
Afterward, we all snuggled in their TV room and watched a Disney movie of my choice! This was extremely hard to narrow down, as I love so many! Some of the ones I considered, but did not choose? Bambi, Tarzan, Sleeping Beauty, and a new favorite, Maleficent. The one I chose is considered one of the most beautiful of the films, I think. The music, especially. Madison and I must have watched it over a hundred times when she was young. It is considered a princess film, too. Any guesses? I'll let you know down below! In the meantime, have a wonderful Monday. I will be back late next week with some photos of Disney to share. And after that, I will settle in for some blessedly ordinary days with my regular posting schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, along with regular visits with you! Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and thoughts as I navigated all my appointments and packed up our house. This world here is such a wonderful place, and I am blessed to call you friends.
Happy May! Happy Mother's Day!
Billie Jo
Disney Movie Answer:

Hello dear Billie Jo!
ReplyDeleteLove how Madison and Nicolas set everything up. What a lovely meal! Great movie choice too. I pray you have safe travels and have a very blessed and wonderful Mother's Day! 💗
NO WAY!!!! NO WAY!!!! We watched Pocahontas on Friday for Family Movie Night! Of all the Disney movies for us both to have watched in within 2 days of each other is so fun to me! Have a magical trip. Thank the Phonecians for me. (Also do you watch the Canada Far and Wide movie at EPCOT? It's one of my favorite things and so many people I know have never done it.)
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie! The dining room table is so simple, yet so elegant and beautiful!! I hope you have a blast and return with lots of photos!
ReplyDeleteHey, what kind of coffee is that anyway?
ReplyDeleteSurely it is not a mug of vinegar!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to Disney World, you are only 45 minutes from Lakeland! And me!! Just tossing that out there! Have a great time!! I have company all week, through the weekend, but there is always time for more!

ReplyDeleteOh, Pocahontas is a favorite of mine too! Madison set such a nice table, and the pink flowers are so pretty, and add a nice touch to the table. The Disney-themed dessert table is wonderful. Love those Mickey plates. Isn't Jersey Mike's subs the best? And that chocolate dessert! Have a fun time at Disney! It's Nel and Jess' happy place! ; ) I look forward to seeing all the fun pics that you take at Disney, Billie Jo.
ReplyDeleteThat was super sweet of Madison. I hope you have the best time at Disney!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteI hope you all have the most fun on this Disney trip.. Hope the weather is great...of course, I think it rains a bit each day or least it did the past two times I have been there. Y'all enjoy to the fullest and I'll be looking forward to hearing all about this trip.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Pocohontas, but it's on my list now! How fun for you to have a Disney trip. We lived half an hour from Disneyland in the early 80s, for two years. It was fun to host the many relatives who headed our way during that time. We have been to Disney World a couple of times but the last was just before they opened the Epcot Center and I would enjoy seeing that. Have a wonderful time and a fabulous Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Mother's Day celebration! It was a cute idea for your daughter to decorate the dessert table in Disney. So fun! Have a great time there. I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back! And, Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to celebrate Mother's Day!! Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you will have a good flight and enjoy your visit. Happy Mother's Day!! I am glad you had a good time with family and watched what you wanted to view again!! God bless you and keep you safe and healthy!!
