Hello, my friends! And Happy New Year's Eve! Whatever your plans, however you celebrate, wherever you may be, enjoy! This night, the night that way back on Thanksgiving seemed so very far off, is here. I always think of New Year's as the official end of our holiday celebrations. The older I get, however, the more I realize that every single day is cause for celebration in some way. Perhaps I need to rethink my choice of words. Maybe New Year's is a transition into a more ordinary time of celebrating, rather than an end.
And so, I will look forward to celebrating the January days ahead. I look forward to a slower pace, cozy evenings, and fresh new pajamas. I will buy some bright, juicy oranges and add sliced lemon to my water. I will stack my new books on my bedside table, ready for afternoons by the fire. And, that's about enough for now!
Have a wonderful New Year, my friends! I appreciate you more than you know, and I am looking forward to sharing this new year with you here in our little blog world.

I can't believe the holidays are over with, just like that. Wishing you a beautiful Happy New Year Eves.

ReplyDeleteIt really does go by in a blink of an eye, doesn't it? I really do hope that 2026 is a great one for you and your amazing family. Tonight, after a New Year's Eve church service, I will be at home in my pajamas eating junk food and waiting for the count down with my family. You know me, I'm happier at home. Have a blessed one, my friend!!! Looking forward to reading more of your posts in the year to come. :-)

Happy happy happy 2026! So love reading what you’re doing – and being inspired. I just heard someone call this a time of cozy wintering, I think you and I will be doing the same things. Books by the fire, feet up, warm, blanket, cuddled by a sweet dog — time to unwind and recharge. Have a wonderful rest of the week-So glad to have “met” you!

ReplyDeleteOh, I love that you will buy some bright juicy oranges for the new year. I want to do the same. They're not only good for us, but they look good on our kitchen counters. And lemon goes nicely with our water. Happy New Year, Billie Jo, and it's been a pleasure getting to know you, dear friend. Please keep sharing these vintage pics with us. ; )
