Flynn's Dandelions

For as long as I can remember Flynn has loved dandelions. Every spring, she waits for the first pop of that sporadic yellow pattern to appear throughout our yard. And when it happens, she is happy. These years pass quickly, as all us mothers know. Yet some things stay the same. One day a few weeks ago, Flynn took Mocha outside. When she came back in, she had the most beautiful gift for me clutched in her ten-year-old hand. A simple yellow flower. The first of the year. And yes, we call them flowers, not weeds. It is all in how you see things, my friends. And we choose to see hope.

Happy Wednesday.
Thanks for visiting!

  3. These are the cutest photos of Flynn with the Dandelions. She is precious in these pictures. And to get one from her years later is very special. I think I would keep that forever. Yes, they are called Weeds here too, but to me they are nature's flowers. So much beauty in them if one looks closely. And she even has a Dandelion head piece, how darling.

  4. Is it weird that I think of them as Flynn's flowers? I have a little glass that is used only for my dandelion bouquets. We have flower perspective here too!

  5. Dandelions ARE flowers aren't they? I think you can eat them as well, so doesn't that make them a flowering vegetable or something? Certainly cheerful flowers and beautiful pictures of your daughter as well. Hope you are having a very happy Wednesday!

  9. The days and weeks and years fly. I remember when I listened and heard no steps coming in the door. That was a time of reflections and being thankful that we gave them roots to grow and wings to fly.
